American actress Denise Dowse, known for her role in the Beverly Hills series, has died

 


The family of American actress Denise Dowse announced her death on Sunday August 14, 2022. She notably played the character of Yvonne Teasley in the flagship 1990s series Beverly Hills.

American actress Denise Dowse, famous for her roles in the Insecure and Beverly Hills series, has died at the age of 64, her sister Tracey announced to CNN on Sunday August 14, 2022.




In a message on the Instagram social network, Denise Dowse's sister also wanted to address the actress' fans: "It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my sister has left to join our family in  eternal life ".  "I want to take this moment to thank our friends and family for all the love and prayers," she also shared, via the late actress' Instagram account.

During her career, Denise Dowse notably played the role of Yvonne Teasley in the flagship 1990s series Beverly Hills.  She played the vice-principal of the high school attended by the main characters.

More recently, she took on the role of Molly's psychologist on Insecure, BFMTV reports.  During her thirty-year career, she also made appearances in other prestigious series such as Seinfeld, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Bones, New Amsterdam and Grey's Anatomy.
On the big screen, Denise Dowse also starred in Ray Charles' biopic, Ray, and in director Darren Aronofsky's Requiem For a Dream.
