Joker 2: when will the film with Joaquin Phoenix be released?

The release date for "Joker: Madness for Two" has been revealed.  The feature film worn by Joaquin Phoenix will be released in our theaters 5 years after the first opus
Warner Bros.  has just announced the release date of Joker: Madness for two.  The feature film worn by Joaquin Phoenix will be released in American theaters on October 4, 2024. That is 5 years after the first film which portrayed Arthur Fleck, an uncompromising man despised by society.

Todd Phillips' Joker had grossed $96.2 million for its 1st weekend of release, so it seems logical that the studio would release the sequel on the same date.  The feature film grossed $335.4 million domestically and globally it is the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time with $1.07 billion in revenue.
Nominated in 11 Oscar categories, Joker won two statuettes: Best Actor for Joaquin Phoenix and Original Music for Hildur Guðnadóttir.

Entitled Joker: Folie à deux, the sequel, still worn by Joaquin Phoenix and directed by Todd Phillips, could be a musical.

According to the latest rumors, Lady Gaga could hold the role of Harley Quinn.  The term "Folie à deux" refers to a clinical situation in which, on prolonged contact with a delusional subject, a second subject adopts the same behavior.

Filming for Joker 2 will begin in December.
